Who Are We?

"Choubbak Amal" is a Syrian non-governmental organization founded in May 2011 by a group of Syrian human rights activists with educational and psychological support goals. Along the way, the locals’ needs grew larger and so did our response. After a short period of time and since then, we developed our work to a wider structure comprising a powerful team of over 300 field employees at some times and many volunteers, and an administrative system that works from afar from its head offices in Lebanon and Turkey.

THE MISSION

"Choubbak Amal" is a non-governmental organization that was founded and is still working with the purpose of developing a network of humanitarian systems and equipments in Syria. Our network fundamentally consists of ensuring the continuity of the Syrian people, who is the most marginalized, to embark on building powerful and creative societies.

Commitment: We work to ensure aid and help to people in danger in the most continuous and effective way.
Assuming responsibility: We assume responsibility for working in danger, setting plausible goals and committing to serve and help people and societies that benefit from our work.

"Choubbak Amal" is a pioneer organization in developing and executing projects that aim to improve the ways of life of the most vulnerable Syrians.
Our organization focuses on broadening its work scope by increasing our assets to serve our mission.
Through its scope, "Choubbak Amal" was able to build a network of relations that allowed it to understand the field's work dynamics in a fast and effective way. We work on developing this network gradually and sustainably. We depend on it extensively for directing our efforts and designing our projects. We use different mechanisms to collect information and verify it in the regions where we work.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUPPORT WOMEN

Since our debut, we were committed at "Choubbak Amal" to show our utmost appreciation to the rising difficulties that women face in civil society and in regions of conflict. Inside our structured environment, we provide women with comfort and care, acknowledge their accomplishments and protect them, therefore they became an integral part of our organization's success. We recruit women in all the levels of our work pyramid, we also prefer to opt for and hire women with similar qualifications as men.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

"Choubbak Amal" organization, through its relations network which was built on the field and through the societies that it visits, is able to discover the different needs of the families and individuals that are in desperate need for help. "Choubbak Amal" organization depends on the diversification of its relations network and its ability to reach the biggest number of people in its work areas to identify the most vulnerable families according to the agreed-upon general standards. It is worth noting that we sometimes find people in desperate need for help yet they do not meet all the standards stated below, choosing them will require that we redefine the limits of our operations' scope.

We look for families that can be mainly included under the following categories or those whose members fall under them (the following list is not in order of importance).

Families without income
Families supported by women
People with special needs/the injured
Individuals suffering from malnutrition
Pregnant and breastfeeding women
The sick
The elders
The internally displaced

THE POLICY OF THE EMPLOYEES' INSURANCE

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

This policy aims at ensuring all the "Choubbak Amal" organization's employees and their families in case of accidents depending on the available resources. Although accidents cannot be prevented, we can alleviate its consequences and impact.

Who Does it Cover?

This policy covers all the “Choubbak Amal” organization's employees inside the Syrian territory throughout their work period, regardless of whether the accidents occur while working/work related or not.
