“CHOUBBAK AMAL’S” “AL AWAEL” KINDERGARTEN MICROBUS TARGETED

On 15/10/2016, at 3 pm, a Syrian Special Forces sniper fired at “Al Awael” kindergarten bus in Qaboun neighborhood- Damascus under siege for three years. As a result, the bus driver was wounded as the bullet penetrated his chest next to the heart; he was transferred to the field hospital and is still in critical condition. This crime pushes us to believe that the firing incident which occurred today with the intent of murder is a direct aim at the humanitarian organizations to prevent them from doing their jobs.

 “Choubbak Amal” organization works to aid and develop the regions occupied by the rebels since 2011. It was under attack several times, and a large number of its workers were arrested. Therefore, “Choubbak Amal” demands once again all parties to uphold the International Law that states that all civilians and aid workers should be protected and attacks against them should be stopped.
