CIVIL DEMONSTRATIONS IN FRONT OF “CHOUBBAK AMAL” WAREHOUSES IN QABOUN NEIGHBORHOOD

On July 30th, 2015, a group of civilians under siege demonstrated in front of “Choubbak Amal” warehouses in Qaboun neighborhood to demand the administration to distribute the aid goods inside of the warehouses to the locals under siege. Whereas, these goods were allocated to Eastern Ghouta that is under siege as well.
Based on these actions in Qaboun neighborhood, the “Choubbak Amal” organization appeals to the humanitarian organizations to skip the bureaucracy and all the standard procedures immediately and allow the distribution of these goods along with other aids to the civilians under siege in Qaboun neighborhood, taking into consideration the field conditions and the civilians’ needs that pushed them to demonstrate today.
We also appeal to the humanitarian organizations not to bring their previous work experiences to the unique case of aid work in Syria.
We would also like to thank all the persons who contributed in facilitating the continuity of our humanitarian and aid work whether it was bringing in, storing or distributing goods.
